Airports of Montenegro and Port of Kotor jointly organized a local forum within the EU project DANOVA NEXT, implemented through the INTERREG-DANUBE 2021–2027 cross-border cooperation programme, with the aim of improving transport accessibility for persons with disabilities and persons with reduced mobility.
The forum brought together representatives of organizations of persons with disabilities, key institutions, and stakeholders from the transport sector at both national and local levels. In a constructive discussion, the Montenegrin project partners presented their activities and progress in enhancing the accessibility of infrastructure and services.
Special attention was given to the presentation of the DANOVA NEXT web application, whose functionalities were recognized by participants as an important step towards standardized and accessible information for passengers. The first visible results of the project have received exceptionally positive feedback, which is particularly encouraging and motivates us to continue improving the accessibility of infrastructure that must be equally available and accessible to all passengers.
