The DANOVA NEXT Transantional Project Meeting held in Kotor

Jun 3, 2025

The fourth transnational partner meeting of the project DANOVA NEXT – Smart Transport Network for Accessible Mobility for Persons with Disabilities and Persons with Reduced Mobility in the Danube Region through Innovative Services was held in Kotor, from 29 to 30 June 2025.
The meeting was hosted by Port of Kotor, as a project partner.

During the meeting, the following topics were addressed:

  • progress in the implementation of project activities,
  • presentation of the planned pilot actions of ten transport partners (including 5 airports, 2 ports, and 3 urban transport operators),
  • development of the DANOVA NEXT application, which will facilitate access to transport-related information and services for persons with disabilities and persons with reduced mobility.

As part of the joint work, the project partners defined three pilot activity concepts, one for each mode of transport. These concepts will be implemented to test and assess the applicability of innovative solutions, technology transfer, and soft measures, including collaboration with target user groups and key stakeholders.

The project team of Airports of Montenegro presented its pilot activity plan, based on an assessment of the current state of accessibility and a developed pilot concept. These activities are focused on improving the accessibility of transport infrastructure and services for persons with disabilities and persons with reduced mobility, in line with the goals of the DANOVA NEXT project.

The DANOVA NEXT project is implemented within the Interreg Danube Region Programme, with the financial support of the European Union, and brings together 16 partners from 11 countries with a common goal – the creation of an inclusive, accessible, and smart transport system.
