Podgorica Airport provides services shipments for legal entities and individuals in the domestic and international air traffic.
Only ready-to-ship shipments are accepted, for which certain conditions must be met.
It is the responsibility of the shipper to properly declare the contents of the shipment and prepare supporting documentation, especially if the shipment contains dangerous substance.

The opening hours are the same as the opening hours of the Airport.
Podgorica Airport cannot be held responsible if your shipment does not board the scheduled aircraft, in case:
- You do not comply with the time of delivery handover,
- you do not complete customs formalities on time,
- do not provide complete supporting documentation for the shipment,
- the shipment contains prohibited articles or hazardous materials that may not be boarded,
- the shipment is not properly packed and marked,
- supporting documentation does not match the quantity and weight of the shipment,
- the shipment is rejected for shipping for business reasons.
Storage
The handling and storage of goods in both inbound and outbound traffic is carried out in a cargo-customs warehouse of 305m², which is under the customs supervision of the Customs Office at Podgorica Airport.
The announcement and reservation are necessary for the storage in the warehouse.
Storage in the chamber for perishable goods requires notice and reservation.
Shipments of live animals, remains, dangerous goods, valuable cargo and perishable goods (temperature below 2°C) are not stored at Podgorica Airport. In agreement with our staff, they are delivered immediately before the scheduled departure time, or, in agreement with the Customs Office, taken over immediately after the aircraft lands.
The time agreed with our staff, with reference to goods delivery, is necessary to be complied with, so that all the necessary activities would be implemented until the time of aircraft take-off: control of accompanying documentation, marking and way of packing the shipment, security check, customs formalities and loading of the shipment.
The schedule arranged with our staff, regarding the shipment of goods, must be respected in order to carry out all the necessary activities by the time of departure of the aircraft: control of supporting documentation, marking and packaging of the shipment, security inspection, customs formalities and loading.
Equipment inside the warehouse
Chamber
The warehouse of Podgorica Airport is equipped with the chamber for storage of perishable goods with the temperature regime 2-8°C, volume of 11m³ , and dimensions of the opening 195cm x 95cm.
Pallet transporter
For handling inside the cargo-customs warehouse, Podgorica Airport has two palette transporters with a capacity of up to 200kg.
Forklift
For handling within the cargo-customs warehouse, Podgorica Airport has a forklift with a capacity of up to 3.5 tons.
Customs Office
The Customs Office operates within the cargo-customs warehouse. It’s offices are part of cargo-customs warehouse that belongs to an uncontrolled area.
Customers are expected to submit the request for customs clearance of goods in person or via the freight forwarder every working day from 07:00 to 15:00.
Freight forwarders
Podgorica Airport co-operates with a number of companies that offer freight forwarding and express mail services in the area of acceptance and shipment of goods and postal items.
